Built around one thing: staircases.

Houston Floating Stairs was started because floating staircase work keeps getting handed off to general contractors who treat it as an add-on. We only do stairs. That focus is the whole point.

Nine years building floating stairs in Houston. Nothing else.

We started in Houston when a client showed us a cantilevered staircase that a general contractor had installed without checking the wall capacity first. The anchors were set into unblocked drywall. It looked fine for two years. Then it started moving. We rebuilt it from scratch, stamped it, and coordinated Harris County inspection. That project set the standard for how we approach every job.

Houston has its own set of demands: humidity that cycles between extreme outdoor heat and air-conditioned interiors, slab foundations without accessible crawl spaces, and multiple county jurisdictions with different plan review processes. We know these conditions. Every material choice, anchor spec, and finish recommendation is tested against what Houston's environment actually does to stairs over time.

How we work.

I

Structural First

We don't start with aesthetics. We start with load paths, anchor capacity, and code compliance. The beauty follows.

II

Houston Climate Expertise

We know Harris County plan review, Fort Bend code, and what Houston's humidity and heat does to materials over a decade of AC cycling.

III

Site-Specific Engineering

No two homes are identical. We measure, model, and engineer every staircase to the actual conditions of your specific property.

IV

Written Accountability

Our on-time guarantee isn't a sales pitch. It's a contract clause with a financial penalty. We mean it.

V

Long-Term Support

Annual inspections, anchor re-torquing, and priority scheduling — because the relationship doesn't end at project handoff.

VI

Clear Documentation

Every load calculation, material spec, and permit drawing is shared with you. You own the project — you should understand it.

Licensed, certified, and accountable.
